Quality workshops may be done
as part of the overall continuous process improvement program, or as standalone projects. They focus on large, cross-functional
areas, such as, new member process or mortgage loan processing. A small team of selected staff, led by a facilitator,
work on improving the area or function for about 8 weeks. They use the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze,
Improve, Control) process improvement technique. Workshop projects are looking for
big changes. After implementation of the recommendations and controls, the team is disbanded.
